We don't go into this lightly, there's months of planning, prepping and design to curate the best of everything to give you the night like you've never had. This starts with the options to attend your Grad Ball, your way. Whether that be dinner, and a table full of your friends and guests, or just vibing to the entertainment with some drinks and your mates. We want to include you all, and want you to have the choice to do it your way!

Goosedale offers a phenomenal space for you to celebrate the most important times in your life. Their architecturally designed gardens provide the perfect backdrop for photography and memories. Goosedale’s is nestled in a countryside setting, so you’ll have the splendour of grandeur, and the space to party like you've never partied before! its exceptional facilities will create the most amazing event and experience for you to treasure, and really finish of your time with UoN in style!

What is native?
native is an event discovery platform that helps students discover events. In these crazy times we've partnered with your student union to provide an events platform which incorporates a virtual events solution for you to enjoy virtual experiances.

I have a question relating to the Students' Union, who should I contact?
If you have a question relating to the Students' Union, we'd recommend you contact them directly. native will try and advise if possible but if you question does not relate to an event, your ticket or is non-technical, they might not be able to answer.
Q: Where is Graduation Ball 2025 being held?
Graduation Ball 2025 will be held at Goosedale, located in the picturesque Nottinghamshire countryside. The decision to relocate has been made to meet the overwhelming demand for Graduation Ball tickets; this year we have been able to make 1,400 additional tickets available to students!
Q: Who Can Attend?
Dinner tickets and Entertainment tickets are available for 24/25 graduating students only.
Dinner Ticket and Entertainment Ticket holders are permitted to purchase an additional ticket for 1 guest (this could be a non-graduating UoN Student or an external guest). For clarity, if you wish to bring a guest as an eligible graduating student, you would need to purchase an additional ticket for them.
Q: What is the Dress Code?
Graduation Ball is a celebration event and formal dress is encouraged. This year’s theme for the ball is going to be Masquerade, so please feel free to embrace this and wear a mask.
Masks that could be deemed offensive or intimidating will not be permitted onto site.
Q: How/When can I buy a Ticket?
Tickets are restricted to 2 per transaction for all ticket types.
Entertainment tickets will be available to buy on the Graduation Ball website from Tuesday 6th May at 12:00 PM
Second Release Tickets will only be released if all Entertainment tickets do not sell out.
Q: How do I reserve a Table and Purchase a Dinner Ticket?
Dinner tickets are available via the Graduation Ball website. The process for reserving and securing a dinner ticket is outlined below:
Dinner reservation tickets will be live from Monday 28th April 10:00 AM and reservations will close on Tuesday 6th at 10:00 AM.
1. Click on a table and place into the basket the quantity of tickets that corelate to your party size. We do recommend keeping your numbers to tables of 10 or 5 so that multiple groups can attend and potentially share tables if required.
2. To complete your reservation Click the ‘Get Tickets’ button. The ticket will be listed as ‘Free’ – guests will be directed to complete the purchase and pay for of their ticket using their unique purchase code sent at a later date via the SU Events Team email address - OS-suEvents@nottingham.ac.uk
3. In the Event Questions section, input the emails of those who will be on your table. Please input the details carefully as the SU Events Team will be contacting your table guests with a unique purchase code and purchase link in order for guests to purchase their tickets.
4. After the reservation is completed, a QR code will appear along with your ‘ticket’ - please note that these tickets should be ignored and cannot be used to gain entry onto the site – this is confirmation of your reservation only.
5. A unique purchase code along with a ticket URL will be sent to you and your table guests to purchase the Dinner Ticket. The Dinner Ticket purchased will enable you to select your menu options and input any dietaries and allergies. The Dinner Ticket can then be used to collect your wristband. You will be emailed instructions about wristband collection at a later date.
Q: How Many Tickets are Available?
This year’s event is limited to 4000 tickets, which is an increase of 1,400 more tickets in order to meet demand.
That’s made up of 150 dinner tickets and 3,850 Entertainment tickets which are split into 3 ticket types – please see the section ‘What Does a Grad Ball Ticket Include?’.
Q: What does a Grad Ball Ticket include?
Dinner Tickets include:
- Transport to and from the event
- Welcome drink on arrival
- 3 course site down meal
- Half bottle of wine per person
- Access to all performance stages and onsite entertainment
Entertainment Tickets are broken down into 3 ticket types:
Entertainment – No Transport
- Make your own way to the event
- Access to all performance stages and onsite entertainment
- Transport FROM the venue only from 10:30 PM (Goosedale > Rock City > Lenton)
Entertainment – Early Transport
- Transport will be provided from University Park, East Drive between 17:00 – 17:45
- Access to all performance stages and onsite entertainment
- Transport FROM the venue only from 10:30 PM (Goosedale > Rock City > Lenton)
Entertainment – Peak Transport
- Transport will be provided from University Park, East Drive between 18:00 – 19:30
- Access to all performance stages and onsite entertainment
- Transport FROM the venue only from 10:30 PM (Goosedale > Rock City > Lenton)
Q: Can I bring a guest?
Yes – Graduating Students are able to purchase an additional guest ticket for a non-graduating UoN Student or an external guest. If you have an accessibility requirement, please contact us on os-suevents@nottingham.ac.uk to discuss an additional ticket for a carer.
Q: How do I collect my Ticket?
Tickets and wristbands must be collected from the Welcome Zone reception at Portland Building between Monday 2nd June and Monday 9th June between 10:00 – 3:30pm on weekdays only. Wristbands are required to gain entry to the event.
It is your responsibility to keep your wristband safe. We will not re-issue a wristband if it is ‘lost’ or provide a refund.
Q: How do I Transfer a Ticket and what is the Deadline?
Ticket transfers can only be conducted between University of Nottingham Student accounts. If you have purchased a ticket for a non-student guest, you will need to collect their wristband on their behalf, you do not need to transfer the ticket.
To transfer your ticket please follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your Native account in which you bought the ticket,
2. Go to 'Your Account' > 'Bookings',
3. Click on the ticket you wish to transfer and click 'Transfer Ticket'.
4. Input the Student Email to whom you are transferring the ticket to.
5. If the student already has a Native account, they will receive an email saying that the ticket has been sent and can be seen if they click ‘My Bookings’.
If the person you are sending the ticket to does not have a Native account, they will need to undertake the following steps:
- Check their email inbox that you sent the ticket to. There should be a message saying:
‘Hi there, ‘YOUR NAME’ has send you 1 ticket for (TICKET TYPE). You’ll need to create an account and then you’ll officially have your tickets.’
- Click the ‘Claim my Ticket’ link in the email. They should then create a Native account and follow the prompts.
- Once they sign up, the ticket above will be waiting for them in their Native account.
The transfer deadline for a Dinner ticket is Friday 7th June at 4:00pm
The transfer deadline for all Entertainment ticket types is Wednesday 11th June at 12:00pm.
Q: Who is performing at Graduation Ball?
Main stage acts will include local legends and named artists – all details to be revealed soon!
Q: Is food available on site?
Yes – food is available to purchase from our various food vendors who will be catering for all dietary needs.
Q: Will there be pyrotechnics, lighting effects and amplified sound on site?
Yes, there will be fireworks display outside and inside the main entertainment venue there will be strobe lighting and loud amplified music speakers. Quiet spaces will be available inside the venue and across the site.
Q: Are refunds available?
Refunds are not available as standard. For extenuating circumstances please contact os-suevents@nottingham.ac.uk to discuss your individual situation.

Q: What is the protocol for lost property?
All lost property handed to SU event staff will be taken to University Park Welcome Zone Reception. Please contact the main reception number on 0115 846 8800 to check if your property has been handed in.
